You're not making sense.

I am so glad you shared with me that Juan Williams is black. Did this make him a racist or bigot because he can be wary around muslims in certain situations?

Ahem,Jessie Jackson is black and he is relieved when he hears footsteps behind him that the person is white instead of black.Wonder what his problem is?

Can only imagine your reaction if I were to say "when I hear footsteps behind me I am relieved to find out the person behind me is white instead of black".

Well Bonnie ... may I ask you? Are you black?

I did not hear a lot about Sanchez but what I did it sounds like he deserved to be fired.

Quote:
Why? He was speaking from his experience. He is wary of elitist Jews. He's had negative experiences with them.

That may be and he may likely feel he has reason to dislike Jews. However having a negative experience with Jews is a little different than knowing many had the experience of being blown to bits by muslims. Having the same type of individuals say there will be more can cast a little different light on the reaction of others. The continued attempts to blow as many as possible to bits does not instill confidence and faith.

Quote:
Clearly, you agree that he should be fired becasue you don't buy his brand buy you support Juan Williams' brand.

Clearly you need to quit believing that you are so far above that you can read the mind of others.

I don't know what the brand of Sanchez is.I don't recall even the small portion of what I heard concerning him,His tone made his total dislike obvious. That was not the case with Juan Williams. I believe he clarified that he knew that all muslims

were not terrorists.

But it has not been Jews trying to blow up Times Square,or the underwear bomber trying to blow up a plane,or the shoe bomber. It was not a jew that shot innocents at Fort Hood.

Sometimes people have a reason to be a little gun shy.

I would not shy away from a Jewish person,I might in certain circumstances with muslims.

That's would be what I would expect. It would be in keeping with the sentiment in your other posts.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

Nope, but I can only imagine the scorn if I said as a "white woman I am relieved when the footsteps behind me turns out to be that off a white man instead of a black man"

Yet Jessie Jackson, one that I believe thrives on racism is afraid of a black man

Explain to me if you can why Juan Williams statement was so bad it was grounds for firing. A black man is uneasy in certain circumstances around muslims.A people that have proven more than once if they get a chance to blow americans to bits they will do so.

Jessie Jackson,a black man that sees racism in every word a white person says is afraid of black men. Fears to hear someone behind him and is relieved to find it is not someone of his own race.

My example of the UN workers raping African women demonstrates that it is understandable why certain groups of people would hold a prejudice against another group of people.

The UN workers that raped those African women do not represent all white people. It is wrong for African women to judge all white people based on the actions of a small group of white people. Not all white men are rapists.

HOWEVER, given the tragic nature of the event, it is understandable why African women would hold a prejudice against white men. When a white man visits their village, it is understandable that these women might be a little nervous. It is wrong for them to be prejudice but understandable.

The same is true with Muslims.

Let's say the same thing but substitute a few words:

The Muslim Extremists that blew up the WTC do not represent all Muslim people. It is wrong for Americans to judge all Muslims based on the actions of a small group of extremists. Not all Muslims are terrorists.

HOWEVER, given the tragic nature of the event, it is understandable why Americans would hold a prejudice against Muslims. When a Muslim gets on an airplane, it is understandable that Americans might be a little nervous. It is wrong for them to be prejudice but understandable.

Getting fired will likely turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to Juan.

I hope so,it sure sounds like it.It still is a nasty thing to do because of a honest opinion. One that a very prominent black man has said very publically. And if enough of us share the feeling we must be right... Right?

Unless you are willing to jeoardize your place of business, safety of others etc,it is a sign of a racist using it as a excuse for his racism.Or so Tom says......

The mob had their reasons for the lynching. That shared feeling made it feel like the right thing to do...

Someone like my brother, firing a black man was looking for an excuse. Never mind the fact it was in a company pickup, illegal activity and that steel erection can be a very high risk profession. Firing this man had to be racism.Being very cautious before you put yourself in the sights of another lawsuit is racism, not just plain common sense. My brother would have had a revolt on his hands to hire muslims that would sue and win paid for prayer times.Let them take their breaks at their prayer time instead of the extra paid down time.

The college that would not remove a service dog for the handicapped is looking for that shared feeling of a lynch mob.

These are not isolated incidences, this is repeated many times over in the work place. If someone objects it is racsim and looking for that shared feeling of a lynch mob.

For many employer's it is not racsim because you dislike the color of someone's skin. Employer's don't look forard to the lawsuits they have good reason to expect are coming.

For me I am not fond of dealing with those that want to yell racsim at every word. If I want a taxi at the airport and have a dog,get out of the way so I can hire a taxi that doesn't mind. The large numbers on welfare because they won't earn english takes from those willing to work.

When a person that can speak english and yet brings a translator to the hospital or clinic and split the 45.00 it is a little annoying

Not to bad being paid for refusing to speak english and seeing a DR.

Juan Williams is black and it rubs the liberal establishment the wrong way when black people say something they don't like. The Clarance Thomas confirmation hearings are a fine example. The problem with Clarance Thomas was that black people are not suppose to be conservative so he had to be stopped.

It is not the KKK trying to control what black people can do and say. It is the liberal establishment. Black people have freedom of speech as long as they use it to promote the liberal agenda. Once they disagree with the liberal talking points they are an Uncle Tom. Condalezza Rice, Colen Powel, Walter Williams, Clarance Thomas, Thomas Sowell and J.C. Watts are all targets of the liberal establishment. Juan Williams isn't even a conservative. Quite the contrary. He is very much a liberal himself. But he offers an honest appraisal of liberal positions which includes weaknesses. The liberal establishment cannot afford that.

What probably happened here is that in their effort to discredit Juan Williams, NPR has probably added credibility to him. Much like Rome trying to kill off all the Christians. The more they killed the more converted. More and more black people are going to see the liberal establishment for what it is. I would not be surprised to see blacks breaking free from the liberal chains of bondage. Blacks have as much right to freedom of speech as any other Americans and the liberal establishment is wrong to try and silence them.

Then explain the following.

Well, maybe, maybe not. A few years ago, the right reverend Jesse Jackson had this to say: "There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved

What do you suppose thwe reaction would have been on this forum if I were to say same.

Juan Williams is a liberal or was. I have always liked him along with Bob Beckel
