I don't recall Reagan calling for compromise after he told the democrats to get to the back of the bus and referring to his opponents as enemies.I think the dems compromised instead of Reagan. Clinton really does not count as a man with any kind of conviction except a convenient one, when he had no choice. I don't recall Bush groveling after saying what Obama said. Bush was far closer to democrat mentality than republican or conservative. Anyone that backs Obama should by all reason praise Bush at the same time.Obama has expanded on most everything he said he was opposed to Bush for. One can only hope that there are a few more brain cells working in the general public now. If you have been listening it is interesting that the conservatives running pretty much won.Meg Whitman so proud of being a moderate lost.Same a a couple of other moderates. Dr. Shane Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Republicans never controlled all of Congress when Reagan was President. They won the Senate for a couple of years while he was President. Republicans didn't control Congress when George H. W. Bush was President either. So there are no parallels to be drawn there. Dr. Shane Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 I think the Republicans lost three seats in the House can gained over 60. Sounds like the people really do want change. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
