Tell me,which part contained a whole lot of truth? My dad always said those that cannot speak without profanity should not be speaking at all Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. All I know its time for the Lord to show up and get this crazy earth back on track, cause its only gonna get worse. Dr. Shane Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Sounds like a very bitter person. Certainly not handling the election results well. This election was all about the economy - not racism. The people are tired of the nation bailing out corporate America by going into debt with no results. No racism there. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... It is interesting that so many dems can't hold Obama responsible for any decision he has made.He has made most of the same decisions he hammered on Bush for. Dr. Shane Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 There was a liberal on Al Jazera English hammering Obama for abandoning his liberal principles. He believed if Obama had stayed anti-war that the anti-war movement would have counteracted the TEA Party. I don't really agree with that but there are many liberals that think that way. Many liberals are still living in the land of make-believe - blaming Bush for the deficit and giving credit to Clinton for the balanced budget. Only a small portion of the deficit is due to TARP which was passed during the Bush Administration put formulated with Obama at the table (literally). And half of the TARP funds were left by Bush for Obama to spend (or not spend). Prior to TARP, Bush had the deficit declining every year for three or four years. And the surplus... well the surplus came about because of an unexpected surge in revenues. Had the government expected the increase in revenue they would have spent it before they got it. It was the result of a Republican Congress and Democrat President. It was fruit of split government. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Bravus Posted November 5, 2010 Author Moderators Posted November 5, 2010 I actually agree that racism is not the underlying issue. It's one of the issues. I love this comment posted under the above listed article: Quote: Archbishop CranmerOctober 23rd, 2010 7:20pm O, why does The Spectator publish this pseudo-theological tripe? Can you not find a proper Anglican? Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. bonnie Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Isn't it great that you think racism is not the underlying issue. The fact of the matter is race is not an issue at all.But it is easy to see how Obama;s cheerleaders need to make that fit in here somewhere. Quote: That's because deep in her heart she knows it's true: her generation will be swept away, along with its prejudices. America will reclaim its liberal heart, or it will eat itself. If you are claiming you know deep in my heart what is true, perhaps God made a mistake and it is not only God that knows the heart. How great that we have a setting judge concerning the heart of another. Your second post is as much tripe as the first. The first foul mouthed author was only babbling his hatred. As you are in agreement with him tell me,did you see the voting stations. First time voters, young married couple, middle aged couples and senior citizens. The elcetion had nothing to do with dirty old white men and everything to with Obama and his arrogance, shoving laws down the throat of citizens. I know you and others can't really admit where the problem lies, you just know that Obama has done nothing to make the voters angry. Tell me what the dirty old white men did in this election? Dr. Shane Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I actually agree that racism is not the underlying issue. It's one of the issues. Bill Clinton was right when he said that the opposition to Obama has nothing to do with racism. As he points out, those that oppose Obama also opposed him. He is about the agenda, not the color of skin. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Dr. Shane Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Tim Wise's belief is that things will get better with time and that this is just a small set beck. However that is simply not true. As long as we live in a sinful world, bad things will happen. Humanity's treatment of itself is the greatest sin on the planet and has been since Cain killed Able. It continues with no end in sight. Yet, this election was not about racism or human rights. It was about the economy. The policies of the Democrats have failed. Unemployment is still very high and there are many more that are underemployed. I think it is because they wasted so much money. I believe the government can stimulate the economy with spending. In that I believe the Democrats are right. But they spent most of that money on liberal pet projects that did nothing to stimulate the economy. The money has to be spent in the right places to get the most bang for the buck. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
