Dottie Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Very painful to watch. I know, there are may who adopt successfully. We adopted a child whom we got at age 7 months from the foster care system, after fostering him for 15 months. It has turned our life into a living he!!. He has destroyed our home, kicking in the walls and doors, trying at very opportunity to hurt our animals, hitting us and threatening to stab and kill us. I could spend all day. . . He was not an orphan, but the reason for his behavior is not the fault of the foster care system, but the fault of his pot-smoking, drinking, child abusing, neglectful, mentally ill mother. He is nine. It's great that so many are successful. Good for them, and good for their parents. If you read about a step-child or adoptive child killing their parent, it is not the parent's fault. They tried their best to raise a damaged child. (My soapbox) Quote
