Stan Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Does it seem odd to others that so many Palin supporters are against females leading out in the Church? Perhaps I am mistaken. Members phkrause Posted November 12, 2010 Members Posted November 12, 2010 No I hadn't notice that at all, and I'm not a Palin supporter. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators John317 Posted November 12, 2010 Moderators Posted November 12, 2010 I don't know anything about Palin, except from her campaign in 2008. Other than that, I haven't kept up with her political views. I thought at first you were talking about an Adventist who took a particular view about women in the church. I doubt there's any connection between being a Palin supporter and one's views of women in the church. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Woody Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I don't mind saying that I'm a Palin supporter. In fact I wear a shirt stating so. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I like Palin. I can't go so far as to say I would vote for her for President. That would depend on the choices. (My favorite right now is Governor Rick Perry.) I do believe women should lead out in church. I think some conservative Lutherans are against that. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators Bravus Posted November 12, 2010 Moderators Posted November 12, 2010 Hehe, Rick Perry pretty much said people go crazy when they go to Washjngton (on the Daily Show this week), so presumably that's serving he's unlikely to desire for himself... Quote Truth is important
Stan Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 This was just an observation in my personal day to day experience. I thought it was a but strange... perhaps it is not widespread. Rick Perry has said he is not going to run for President but everyone around him says different. The Texas press has all but officially declared him as a candidate. Here in Texas the legislature only meets once every two years unless a special session is called. If Perry decides to run I wouldn't expect it to be announced until after the 2011 regular legislative session which should finish in May. After that, the legislature will not meet again until January of 2013, unless Perry calls a special session. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
