Moderators John317 Posted November 30, 2010 Moderators Posted November 30, 2010 I'm shocked and saddened at this. I loved that man. I knew him personally and attended his Sabbath school class for many years. I'm so sorry to hear. I used to call him up and ask him questions and he was always grracious and willing to talk. My friend's mom was dying of cancer back in the 1980s and Dr. Maxwell would go and comfort her with assurances of God's love while she lay on her death bed. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Moderators Gerr Posted November 30, 2010 Moderators Posted November 30, 2010 Sorry to hear about his passing also. Yeah, I used to attend the class he & Jack Provonsha used to teach. Quote
Nic Samojluk Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Sorry to hear about his passing also. Yeah, I used to attend the class he & Jack Provonsha used to teach. Me too! I used to sit at his feet for many years. We are studying this week in our Sabbath School lessons about "the man of God." This includes Elijah, Moses, and the unnamed prophet. I believe that Maxwell was a truly "Man of God" in the full sense of the word. The church has lost a great man of God, but his memory will linger as long as those who knew him are alive. Quote
