Administrators Gail Posted December 5, 2010 Administrators Posted December 5, 2010 Do you buy the marked down clearance food items at the grocery store? What are your favourite deals? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Amelia Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I love the marked down frozen veggies. I go crazy over crushed boxes of tissue and pkgs of TP. I once got a great deal on oatmeal because the front label on the bxs was missing. nuff sed Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Look in the Yellow Pages of your phone book to see if there is anything listed under Surplus and Salvage Merchandise. Many cities have stores that deal almost exclusively with surplus, outdated and distressed merchandise. Here in the Orlando area SACKS seems to be the only one of its type. I make it a practice of stopping there not less than twice a week. You never know what they are going to have. Example: COSTCO Blueberries @5.99--SACKS @$3.00, Publix Strawberries @ 4.99--SACKS @$2.00 .... I have found, however, that I can purchase FRESH cereal at ALDIS cheaper as long as I don't HAVE to have the box say "Cheerios". Their brand of Oats is just as good. $1.79 whereas the surplus outdated Cheerios at SACKS goes for $2.29 nuff sed Quote

Administrators Gail Posted December 6, 2010 Author Administrators Posted December 6, 2010 What about dented cans? Which ones will you buy/use and which ones not? How far will you go?
