Unoriginal thoughts - from the Gospel of Jesus Christ...

Please add your favourite "unoriginal" gospel thoughts below...

Here is one of mine from the Apostle John:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son...

Mark :-)

PS.

Please try to avoid the pretension of believing one can have an "original thought" when it comes to the "truth"...

Because is it not true that we can only ever reflect Gods thoughts, or Satans? :-)

If that is not too "controversial"?

Another:

Hsa 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

As to reflecting satan's thoughts, it's a good way of admitting we have no responsibility for thinking up our own mischief.

A reason for coming to the conclusion we have no reason to repent since the devil made me do it.

""For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies," declares the Lord GOD. "Therefore, repent and live."Ezekiel 18:32 NASB

God blesses!! peace

But do you think there is anything that can be called "original thought"?

Can a created being move beyond the thoughts of the Creator for instance?

Vanity, vanity! All is vanity!

What does it matter if our thoughts are original, if they have been around for centuries repeated over and over, if they have only just been given voice to, or if they've been only rarely shared?

I, personally, have a lot of "original" thoughts on this matter--but, I keep them to myself because they are mine and I don't choose to share.

Then there is no means to test that...

Oh well. *I* don't feel a need to test them.

The thoughts of the Creator are infinite, so that would be by definition impossible. However the fact that the thoughts of the Creator are infinite means that, no matter how large our own knowledge of those thoughts becomes, it is still a vanishingly miniscule fraction of His thoughts. (Anything, no matter how large, when divided by infinity is zero.) That ought to lead us to a profound humility, including when the Venn diagram circle of our tiny, infinitesimal fraction doesn't coincide with someone else's tiny fraction.

G: Absolutely false! "Every human being, created in the image of God, is endowed with a power akin to that of the Creator-- individuality, power to think and to do." Ed p.18

If there is no creativity, then we were not created in he image of God.
