We had a discussion several months ago on post moderns and how they relate to Chrisitainity.....Some Adventist brothern insisted that EGW seemed relevent enough to the current Christian....Others, as I recall, said that the approach to Christianity was off..... What about this man and his approach to Christianity...? His insistance is that we don't have to believe in the inspiration of the bible so much as we need to understand that God wants a relationship with us NOW....Notice the wording....we are NOT doing away with the inspiration of the bible, but rather establishing the relationship first before belief in the inspiration of the bible... I do see, however, the point of what he is saying, especially for those who get so hung up on exact nuances of translation and interpretation that they don't let The Word go to their hearts.
