Members phkrause Posted January 3, 2011 Members Posted January 3, 2011 Two brawny men came to a Ethel Cohen’s house in Brooklyn to install some new floor covering in the kitchen. Once they had moved the stove and refrigerator out of the way, it was not long before the job was done. As they were getting ready to leave, Ethel asked them to put the heavy appliances back in place. The two men demanded $45 for this service, stating it was not in their contract. Ethel really had no choice but to pay them. As soon as they left, however, the doorbell rang. It was the two men. They asked Ethel to move her car, which was blocking their van. She told them her fee: $45. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
MariaS Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 What a joke. Is this for real Pkrause? Quote The rules of life - Love and serve God - Remember choices, not circumstances, determine the flavor of our lives - Live each day so that you'll never be afraid of tomorrow nor ashamed of yesterday

MariaS Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 well, I could not think it was real. If it was, than that woman and the two men were heartless. That kind of thing does not happen here in Malaysia. So it must be just a joke hehehe...
