Woody Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 They have some really wild secular music on the Hope Channel this Sabbath. No kidding. Okay ... Direct TV says Hope is having some "technical difficulties" so they are providing us with secular music instead. And it ain't the kind of music I would listen to. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

A little bit woody, but I've a question for you. As you might or might not know I'm moving to florida and where I'm moving to does not have comcast so I'm thinking of going with DirecTV instead of Brighthouse. As far as I know this only carries TV shows! Correct? If it is, what do you do for the internet? Verizon? or something else? Woody Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 Hi pk. I believe Direct TV has internet but it is not meant for those who can get it with any other means and is very expensive. I have high speed internet with my phone company. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Lol, I find that hard to believe....Hope Channel??? Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted January 10, 2011 Moderators Posted January 10, 2011 I don't have DirecTV or any other type of reception for Hope Channel on my TV. I watch it occasionally online [hopetv.org]. That way I get all of it I care to watch. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
Woody Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 I don't have DirecTV or any other type of reception for Hope Channel on my TV. I watch it occasionally online [hopetv.org]. That way I get all of it I care to watch. This weekend they had a great program on Really Living. It was the story of a young man with severe MS and unable to breathe on his own or move anything except one little finger. The little finger is what controlled his wheel chair. Well ... he decided to become a Pastor and went to the Seminary at Andrews. His mother had to attend ALL of his classes. Greek Hebrew ... the works. And I think he ended up being the President of the students. He is very articulate and well spoken although halting because he has to suck on the breathing tube. I think they could have given the Mom the same degree. For I am sure that she learned just as much. Well I watched it three times this weekend. Twice on Friday night and once on Sabbath afternoon. ( I can only handle so much repeating so I limited it to three times.) Very inspiring though. Personally I wish that Hope TV and 3ABN didn't repeat so much particularly on the Sabbath and weekend.
