Administrators Gail Posted January 24, 2011 Administrators Posted January 24, 2011 For those of you who have iPhones, what are your favourite apps? Please mention also how much they cost you. Moderators Bravus Posted January 24, 2011 Moderators Posted January 24, 2011 There are only a few I've paid for, and the most I've paid has been a couple of dollars. Here are a few faves: SnapTell - allows you to take a photo of a book jacket or object in a store and get a heap of reviews, price comparisons and other informaiton about it. Wolfram Alpha (I think less than $2) - access to the Wolfram Alpha 'knowledge engine' and a handier math keyboard. Fantastic tool for anyone in maths and science: when I can't remember the integral of sin^4x off hand, it's there! Tweetdeck - the only way to use Twitter iProRecorder - hmm, I may have paid more like 10 bucks for this one. I used it to record and upload all my lectures in a course I taught so external students could hear the lectures, but it's basically just a smart and convenient audio recording app. YouVersion - my fave Bible software, incredibly handy to have on the phone. I now carry a Bible everywhere, all the time. Quote Truth is important
Administrators Gail Posted January 24, 2011 Author Administrators Posted January 24, 2011 Sweet! Someone told me today about HSW (How Stuff Works) which has really neat podcasts about things we all should know. What I love about my phone is I am no longer bored during my down time. I have not been able to yet find a nice Bird-watching application, and would appreciate any ideas.
