cricket Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 "Wanna little tissue for that boogie?" Of course, I might say that to a Christian too! What exactly does "God bless you" even mean? I looked it up and found that it might originate from something we really don't want to say to people anyway. So, yeah, "Wanna little tissue for that boogie?" might just be the best thing to say. Gordon1 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Hi Stan, Like buttons have little appeal for me because they can cultivate the air of an adolescent popularity contest, favouritism, bullying, as opposed to sober adult reflection. Take the CBC News site as an example. Like or Dislike? Quote

Moderators Bravus Posted January 28, 2011 Moderators Posted January 28, 2011 Not sure what 'Gesundheit' means... In Oz we just tend to go with 'Bless you', leaving a bit of a gray area as to who is doing the blessing. They'd have to be some pretty militant atheists to get exercised about this, though, IMO. I was told by a radio commentator that gesundheit is German for "good health". Quote

fccool Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Hm... what do you say? Well, since you don't believe in life after death, what happens to us when we die? - We become burried and become a part of nature... a part of plants ... trees. Trees... good. I have just a wish for you. I hope that when you die, you will become a large and beautiful tree. And then, one day a guy will come and cut you down, sell you to the paper producers, so that you'll be turned into paper... so that they can print a 1000 Bibles on it :) Quote
