LifeHiscost Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 ___________the impending crisis. http://www.stansberryresearch.com/pro/1011PSIENDVD/MPSIM125/PR Hello. My name is Porter Stansberry. A little over ten years ago I founded Stansberry & Associates Investment Research. It has become one of the largest and most recognized investment research companies in the world, serving hundreds of thousands of subscribers in more than 120 countries. --------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- It will cost every American business A LOT more money for supplies and materials. No one will be able to get a loan... and no bank will want to make loans. In short, when the U.S. dollar loses its spot as the world's 'reserve currency,' it will cause a brutal downturn in the economy, which I expect will be about 10-times worse than the mortgage crisis of 2008. You see, what will also happen as a result of this currency crisis, and the end of the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency, will be massive inflation, the likes of which we have never seen before. When everyone is trying to get rid of their dollars, the government is printing more and more to pay debts, and no one wants to own them, the crisis will reach epic proportions. Bold emphasis mine LHC " Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days."James 5:1-3 NKJV Approximately 90% of the total gross income of the U.S. is going to the top 1% of our society. And this is going to last how long before the Lord puts a stop to what's happening in the world? Quote: "Yet most Jews STILL didn't leave Nazi Germany, because they simply couldn't believe that things would get as bad as they did. That's the normalcy bias... with devastating results. We saw the same thing happen during Hurricane Katrina... Even as it became clear that the levee system was not going to work, tens of thousands of people stayed in their homes, directly in the line of the oncoming waves of water. People had never seen things get this bad before... so they simply didn't believe it could happen. As a result, nearly 2,000 residents died. Again... it's the "normalcy bias. We have been the world's most powerful country for nearly 100 years. The U.S. dollar has reigned supreme as the world's reserve currency for more than 50 years. Most of us in America simply cannot fathom these things changing. But I promise you this: Things are changing... and faster than most people realize." Even so, come quickly, dear Lord Jesus. "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”"Luke 21:28 NKJV God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Moderators Gerr Posted February 16, 2011 Moderators Posted February 16, 2011 Talking constantly about calamities that don't materialize contributes to this attitude of normalcy. It scares people for a time, then as conditions return to a semblance of normalcy, it makes them less sensitive to some calamity because we have had calamities since the beginning of time. "There is a time of trouble coming to the people of God, but we are not to keep that constantly before the people, and rein them up to have a time of trouble beforehand. There is to be a shaking among God's people, but this is not the present truth to carry to the churches.." 1 SM 180 Quote

"this is not the present truth to carry to the churches.." 1 SM 180 And would it be considered that since it was not present truth at the time sister White wrote that instruction, it is still not present truth? And if that is the conclusion at this time, what events would be felt necessary more than the fact that in the last ten years the U.S. has gone from approximately 3 trillion dollars of indebtedness and the world's greatest creditor, to 17-23 trillion dollars in debt and the world's greatest debtor? One among a number of stupendous truths that have never happened in the world up to this point of time, not to discount the fact that 3,000 souls daily, are being baptized into the Adventist church. "Just as the rich rule the poor,so the borrower is servant to the lender."Proverbs 22:7 NLT " The Lord will raise up men to bear the message of truth to the world and to His people. If those in responsible positions do not move onward in the opening providences of God, bearing an appropriate message for this time, the words of warning will be given to others who will be faithful to their trust. Even youthful Christians will be chosen to "cry aloud and spare not." {TSS 56.2}" God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

LifeHiscost Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 The most destructive earthquake, the worst flood, the most heinous crime will not bring the end of the world any closer. Spreading the gospel to more people will. Caught in the slaughter of this day and age will move some hearts to make decisions for a Savior that would not necessarily have been made under more comfortable conditions. Does the phrase, "There are no atheists in foxholes", bring to mind incentives for serious consideration which under different circumstances never would have moved the procrastinator. "“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place."Matthew 24:32-34 NLT God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Moderators John317 Posted February 18, 2011 Moderators Posted February 18, 2011 It is a no brainer: time's up, the last pope is in office, the last American President is in office, America is poised on the brink of a financial disaster, last day events will be rapid ones, and the church is indifferent to study to see if any of this is true. I believe time is short, but I don't think we can say Obama will be president when the Sunday law is passed and the time of probation is ended. However, I do believe we should be living as if this could be our last day on earth. Moderators John317 Posted February 18, 2011 Moderators Posted February 18, 2011 My grandfather, and all of the pioneers of our church, used to preach that the generation which saw the stars fall would be alive when Christ returned. Then when that failed, they preached that everyone who was alive in 1900 would be alive when Christ returned. We know now that that was not true, either. Of course we know that Christ could have come in the 1800s, particularly around 1890. So his coming really does not depend upon time but upon the spiritual condition of the church. God is only waiting for one thing: for His people to be ready for Christ's return. When his people are ready and sealed, then He will tell the angels to let go of the winds, allowing the end-time events to occur in rapid succession and the church will be translated. It won't occur until that time. Christ will not come for an unprepared church. See Rev. 14: 15; 19: 7,8. Ellen White described what must take place before Christ returns: Quote: Light was to be given, directing their minds to the temple of God in heaven; and as they should by faith follow their High Priest in His ministration there, new duties would be revealed. Another message of warning and instruction was to be given to the church. Says the prophet: "Who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness." Malachi 3:2, 3. Those who are living upon the earth when the intercession of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above are to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator. Their robes must be spotless, their characters must be purified from sin by the blood of sprinkling. Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort they must be conquerors in the battle with evil. While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among God's people upon earth. This work is more clearly presented in the messages of Revelation 14. When this work shall have been accomplished, the followers of Christ will be ready for His appearing. AJ We are not guaranteed the next heartbeat, so for anyone of us, for all practical purposes our next breath could be our last opportunity to invite Jesus to be Lord of our life. " Prophecy.... is for the benefit of believers, not unbelievers." 1 Corinthians 14:21 NLT So if one believes prophecy is of no significance to them, they very well could be right. Moderators John317 Posted February 19, 2011 Moderators Posted February 19, 2011 The abomination of desolation is the Sunday law that enforces th image of the beast. This is the signal to God's people that it is time to flee to the mountains and that the end of the human probation is near, when God withdraws His Spirit from the world and leaves sinners to reap the consequences of their choice. What happened to Jerusalem in 70 AD is a precursor to what occurs just before the return of Christ. Quote: As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us.
