Stan Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 When developing your Christian Experience, and wanting to share it with other, I think it is best to follow this, paraphrased from EGW He mingled with them He won their confidence He said, come follow me... Overall we do it backwards. We preach the truth, We let them know we know everything We befriend them, if they have not walked away yet Overall, the methods we use all over North America, not working that well. A key ingredient is that we have to have something to offer. teresaq Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 ...He mingled with themHe won their confidence He said, come follow me... Overall we do it backwards. We preach the truth, We let them know we know everything We befriend them, if they have not walked away yet ... Pretty much. And we do it to each other. Our need to be preachy/teachy is nauseating. It would be so interesting to see real discussions where we share ideas, understandings, without having to present ourselves as some sort of authority. Then perhaps we could be better equipped to treat non-SDAs also as equals-and share, not teach/preach. Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
Woody Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Yes ... "The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence." A divine pattern Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
