I have a wife who is a very fragile person in more than one way. It incensed me when, upon leaving her at a shopping mall while I parked the car, upon returning I found she had been serreptitiously approached by a "nice young man" who engaged her in conversation, and promptly removed an item from her purse, as was later found out. On another occasion, at the same mall, a rude young lady bounced into her when I wasn't present, and promptly went on her way with nary a "by your leave". My wifes purse was a short time later, found to be absent 60 bucks. They say the third time is a charm, when at the same mall she was removed of the whole purse without her immediate awareness. Luckily we had paid heed to the two previous incidents and removed all of significant value from the purse before this venture into "the war zone". We hope he/she enjoys the "pain rub-on" they found in the purse and we hope they need it. Individuals who have criminal behavior on their mind, whether assaulting the wife in the home or preying upon the unsuspecting passerby, are really lazy at heart and opportunists in action. Anything that is going to inconvenience them more than they think the value of the prize appears, they will avoid. "Defensive driving" should be the order of the day when leaving the confines of your home, whether man or woman. There is nothing personal in their behavior toward women. It is just that they see them as an easy mark, although they may have some hangups re: women as a result of early subjugation to one or another. As to the criminal activity of the fairer sex? I would have to suggest the possibility that men have mentored them very well.
