Paul Beach Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Dear individuals, Mrs. Gray is bored on this Friday night and just realized that she has been a member of Club Adventist since April 4, 2001. That is, for those of you who are the product of American education, 10 years. She has not been very active in the past several of these years due to other commitments but is happy to once again demonstrate that she is part of this community. It does appear that prior to this, or just before it, Mrs. Gray was part of the original Adventist forums before the Stanley person started this one. She also is not sure how long she was there and cannot remember all of those details as she is now quite elderly. Mrs. Gray does remain in good health and rumors of her death were greatly exaggerated. Perhaps the best way to sum things up is to say a wonderful Merry Sabbath to all of you and to inspire you to reach toward the heights of greatness so that you too can be like Mrs. Gray. Sincerely, Mrs. Gray Quote

Woody Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 One question. Where did you get the idea of being called by the title 'Mrs.' ? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators Nan Posted April 3, 2011 Moderators Posted April 3, 2011 One question.Where did you get the idea of being called by the title 'Mrs.' ? What else could Mrs Gray be called? She admits to being elderly, so would not be comfortable with Mz Gray, and I have never heard of a Mr Margaret Gray. Mrs Gray, I am not trying to pre-empt your response. Quote

I was just curious as to why she calls herself Mrs. I suppose most people here could call themselves MR. or Mrs. I'm 'elderly' also but don't call myself Mr. usually. But will for this situation. Signing off, Mr. Woody Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators Kevin H Posted April 3, 2011 Moderators Posted April 3, 2011 I really missed Mrs. Gray (althought I see her too often when I shave) it is a shame that there were people who were more interested in unmasking then seeing her unique perpectives of ourselves. (I guess their toes were steped on too often and they wanted to prove that the posts were not about them, as too often we see all of us Welcome back and please return to your thought provoking actvity and our idiosincricisities and inconsistancies. Moderators Nan Posted April 3, 2011 Moderators Posted April 3, 2011 Woody, I never met any one in the world beyond CA who could be compared to "Mrs Gray".... were you here in her heyday? Quote
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted April 3, 2011 Moderators Posted April 3, 2011 Welcome back, Mrs. Gray! When I first joined C/A you were one of the posters whose posts I looked forward to, daily. You always had such wise counsel, and used such erudite language. And of course I used to spend a lot of time trying to figure out your *true* age, sex, marital status...! At least I don't remember her and from what I hear ... I think I would have remembered. When were her 'heydays'? I came in Dec. of '06 Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Stan Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Did you really have him disfellowshipped for not taking out the bacon out of his egg mcmuffin one morning. Or was that a different Mr Mrs Gray? nuff sed Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Oh, my.............the last piece of meat I ate (knowingly) was a Filet Mignon on Japan Airlines between Honolulu and Tokyo in 1963. I had to unwrap the bacon from around it before I ate it. Should I have thrown the whole thing away??? nuff sed Quote
Paul Beach Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Dear Stanford, Mr. Mrs. Gray was a wayward individual and one day as Mrs. Gray was going through the minivan she found a wrapper of an Egg McMuffin. Mr. Mrs. Gray, as we like to call him, apparently had been sneaking out to McDonalds and eating pieces of swine's flesh unbeknownst to his wife and most importantly to his church members. So Mrs. Gray did report him as he was one of the eldern having first decided not to partaken in the sin herself. The liberal eldern conducted an investigation and determined that Mr. Mrs. Gray was not eating the pork portion although the wrapper did not have the "special" sticker on it that would indicate it did not contain meat. The lesson in this, of course, is that one should avoid the appearance of evil. Had Mr. Mrs. Gray really eaten this meat, the chance of him being dismembered, or removed from membership, would have been greater. There was some effort to take a blood or urine test to insure that the swine's flesh was not in his system but alas too much time had elapsed. Since then, Mr. Mrs. Gray has denied having eaten any further porcine products and Mrs. Gray remains vigilant and watchful to insure his health, and more importantly, his salvation. Sincerely, Mrs. Gray Quote
