God does not waste your pain! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

I believe there's a statement in the Bible that goes along those lines. At the moment it eludes me, when I think of it I'll post it. Interesting that you should say that, Woody. Last night I started a book by Oswald Chambers (the Utmost for My Highest author) called Christian Disciplines. The first discipline he mentions is that of God's Word. To the unconverted it is just another book. To he who has been reborn (has the Holy Spirit guiding) the Bible is a whole new world. The words have been unlocked to him, as now he is capable, through the Holy Ghost, to discern light and truth in them. But Chambers takes it a bit further: He then writes how Scripture becomes even more profound only through the experience of suffering. That is when the meaning is deepest, is through our suffering. It is our need, our humility, that makes the difference. It is in our suffering that we become fellow sufferers with Christ.
