Gordon1 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Hi Stan, There seems a deafening silence on this topic in the media. Can you confirm if anyone is publishing the air & rainwater levels for BC? Some weeks ago the CBC reported several detection sites were operating on the BC coast and more were being installed. But so far no numbers. Are the people out your way showing any concern? Elevated levels have already been found in New England rainwater. Quote
Amelia Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 We are finding trace amts in here in Oregon. But nothing to worry about. I'm sure it's the same in BC. Stan Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Well it is warmer now that it was a couple of months ago. AND we have a lot more sunlight every day then we did before the quake. One a serious note, it would be difficult, with the half life of radiated gizmos to do any harm. It is really a non issue for most people. Gordon1 Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 Did you appear transparent on the TV slot, or only glowing? On a serious note: some of those gizmos (isotopes) have half-lives of thousands of years. I think you're right about the non-issue. Out of sight, out of mind. Amelia - Is Oregon reporting actual figures, or sticking to 'trace amounts'? Are these updated daily? Quote
