Mercy to those who Doubt

Do we show mercy to those who doubt?

In what ways?

How do we help them to regain their faith?

Or to gain it for the first time.

Are we patient with them?

Do we love them?

OR do we just want them to be mature Christians immediately?

May we be one so that the world may be won.
Christian from the cradle to the grave

Sometimes wanting someone to have the same faith as you an be a sign of insecurity but i doubt that would be the case for matured Sda's.

I think the main point is to not un-validate someones experience by pointing out there wrongs in thinking or not being human and shoving the right path down their throat or even worse trying to scare them into keeping the faith.

for example my dad recently became on the fence about whether he wants to go to heaven or whether he ever was a christian.

I didnt de-validate his experience or try to drown him in my beliefs rather i acknowledged my own similar but not quite the same experience. Then you can share what worked for you, in this case i shared how i made the descision that I would go to heaven if god was the righteous person my heart had grown to know however if god was just 1% unrighteous i would stay asleep at his call.this really gave him some clarity on his real choice The God of complete Love and complete righteousness or Not he dosent have to accept an incomplete god-(He struggles with past hurts, hes probably slightly bitter and struggles to not blame god).

anyhow probably didnt answer your question ,just sharing :)
