First, we don't really know what the effect on the wildlife there will be! Because as has been seen with the disaster in the Gulf and back with the Exxon Valdes disaster, things do happen. There have been others, my question is, is it worth it? Does it destroy the earth God has in trusted to us?? Second, what premise would that be? Because one party wants it and the other doesn't? You know as well as I do it could easily be the other way! Thirdly, I agree with more drilling we would get the prices down. But there is a problem with that, that's Obama wants the price to go up. And this is where I apologies for saying in the other thread that you were wrong about Obama wanting the prices to go up. I found out that what you said is correct.
