Special moments in the new earth

After the millennium, shortly after the destruction of the old earth, and not long after the creation of the new earth, you are sitting on a rock admiring a beautiful scene of gentle valleys with bright waterfalls, clear water, colorful flowers, tall beautiful trees, singing birds and a host of playful animals, then all of a sudden you feel a gentle tap on your right shoulder, you turn around and you are eye to eye with Jesus. What will you do and / or talk about?

I Would be thanking Him straight for all what He has done for us,

And thanking Him for having so much patience with us, I would still ask Him Why He did it..While i would know the answer, But then again we would changed in a Twinkling of an eye.. so i don't know if I would ask him why He did it (Gave His life).

you know things like that would pop up in my mind know.

But By being changed in a twinkling of an eye.. then I Would Adore Him the most.

Nich,

We would have seen Jesus face to face at the beginning of the millennmium and would have spent 1,000 years with Him in heaven. We would have asked Him a lot of questions already while we were there. The new earth we see would be as beautiful as heaven. So I would just simply thanks Him for the gift of this new earth for us (human kind in Jesus) to dwell for ever. A world without sins and deaths.

Of course, we really don't know. As the song says, "I can only imagine". In my imagination, though, I simply fall on my face and worship Him.

Just remember these words of warning, for they will come to pass all too soon:

If you are ever flying through the desert and your canoe breaks down, remember that it takes three pancakes to lift the doghouse, because there ain't nary a bone in ice cream!

103,680,000 is the number of 5 min increments in one thousand years. Lets say Jesus spends 5 min answering questions and saying hello to each individual ... well there will most likely be a very long line yet to be greeted. He could use some type of data burst method of communication, but I suspect He will want a more personal type of interaction.

When He finally got to the Tob's I would most for sure thank Him for being my friend and letting me in His house and city. Then I would ask Him where the best and quietest place in the universe was that I could build a home for my family and friends, and take the time to read all the books I do not have time to read now!!!.

A wonderful thought!

I think what will happen is that as I'm about to go through a long list of all the sins I committed and tell him I'm sorry for betraying him and not appreciating him--- about that time, Jesus will pat me on the back or give me hug and tell me not to mention it. He will say there were absolutely no surprises and that He was only too glad to give His life and to forgive me. Then we will talk about all the other things that will no doubt come to mind. Like how did He create the universe? What was He thinking when He first made the wolf or Adam and Eve? Did he know the wolf would eventually produce the Boston Terrier? Did He know about me when He formed Adam? And did He know about all the billions of people who would reject Him and be lost? Why did He still go ahead with creation when He knew how painful it would be-- what the high cost it would be-- Himself and to all the other creatures?

And imagine being able to invite Jesus [or our former guardian angel(s)] over for dinner and a long conversation. Time won't be factor, so we could talk for several days (or longer) if we wanted to. He would have a couple of trillion years to visit other people.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

I've thought about the same kinds of things. The are two solutions to this, I think. One is that the Holy Spirit will be Omnipresent, and He is Christ's personal representative. As such, Christ will still continue to be with everyone at the same time, even though Christ Himself will be limited to a glorified human body.

The second "solution" is that time won't have the same meaning to anyone. It won't be measured in moments and hours. It will probably be measured by events. It's safe to say that things will be astonishingly different, and we will be full of joy all those endless trillions of ages.

After the first billion trillion years roll around, we will have many more-- an endless cycle of trillions-- to look forward to. And all for the purpose of growing in our knowledge, understanding, and love of God-- that is, our love of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

After thanking Him for His supreme sacrafice, I would have a request. That a special angel be appointed as my personal guide to help answer the 1,000's of questions I have about the creation of all the worlds. How God maintains the laws of physics and chemistry and interstellar planets and gravity and on and on.

Well beyond the beautiful garden I currently view, I'm looking forward to some excellent "space travel" with a deeper understanding on the mysteries involved in how He maintains all this "stuff".

I'm sure that during the thousand year millennium, all the questions of past memories will have been dealt with, and subsequently erased. Although there is one incident, in Isaiah I believe, where one asks the question, "What are these wounds in your hands"?

The answer, "These are the wounds I received in the house of My friends.", would almost surely cause me spiritual distress except for the fact that the question will be answered and understood in a manner of which my present state of existence cannot fully comprehend, with total love and compassion, sans every vistage of selfishness.

I'm just happy to believe that when that time comes, I will have been changed enough so that I will be completely satisfied with every ongoing experience, down to the most minute detail.

"Then this message came to Zechariah from the Lord: “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. And do not scheme against each other."Zechariah 7:8-10 NLT

"May your Kingdom come soon.May your will be done on earth,as it is in heaven."Matthew 6:10 NLT

Thank you, your posts are appreciated. It is interesting to note the diverse outcomes when meeting Jesus in the new earth.

I will be in awe and will worship and praise Him. Meeting the creator of elements, space, life? Then becoming my redeemer?

The controversy and its issues or questions having being a thing of the past, for during the millennium, all would have been dealt with, I would spend that time getting first hand education, firstly, I would like to know his plan or program or will for my eternal life. I know there will be no end, so he cannot tell me what his plans will be for each age to come, for when would that conversation end? I know that we will build houses, vineyards, there after what next? I take it that He will give me missions, ranging from short to long ones that could take ages, literally. Missions could be located within the new earth, maybe in other parts of the universe. New missions would be revealed after the completion of previous missions.

Inspiration reveals that:

There every power will be developed, every capability increased. The grandest enterprises will be carried forward, the loftiest aspirations will be reached, the highest ambitions realized. And still there will arise new heights to surmount, new wonders to admire, new truths to comprehend, fresh objects to call forth the powers of body and mind and soul. {AH 549.2}

I would like to know what these enterprises, aspirations or ambitions will be in the new earth. For in the current earth, they are clear. Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

In the new earth, I once thought that I will build an eco friendly vehicle or craft that can levitate, maybe using the electromagnetic field or light, then it dawned on me that we will be that vehicle or craft.

Inspiration reveals the one subject that always will be:

Redemption is an inexhaustible theme, worthy of our closest contemplation. It passes the comprehension of the deepest thought, the stretch of the most vivid imagination. Who by searching can find out God? The treasures of wisdom and knowledge are opened to all men, and were thousands of the most gifted men to devote their whole time to setting forth Jesus always before us, studying how they might portray his matchless charms, they would never exhaust the subject. Although great and talented authors have made known wonderful truths, and have presented increased light to the people, still in our day we shall find new ideas, and ample fields in which to work, for the theme of salvation is inexhaustible. The work has gone forward from century to century, setting forth the life and character of Christ, and the love of God as manifested in the atoning sacrifice. The theme of redemption will employ the minds of the redeemed through all eternity. There will be new and rich developments made manifest in the plan of salvation throughout eternal ages. {RH, June 3, 1890 par. 6}

The song “Who am I?” Says:

Oh when I think of how he left his home in glory, came and dwelt among the lonely such as I, to suffer shame and such disgrace, on mount Calvary take my place, then I ask myself the question, who am I? Who am I that the King would bleed and die for? The answer I may never know, why he ever loved me so, that to an old rugged cross he’d go for who am I.

Not sure that I'll be able to say anything, I'll be all choked up that I was even allowed to be there.
