Administrators Gail Posted April 25, 2011 Administrators Posted April 25, 2011 How do you know that you are? Why don't we talk about this more? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Haldog Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I think it is because SDA's are afraid of The Holy Spirit. They pretty much deny the Gifts of the Spirit as outlined in I Corinthians 12, or say it was for the time of the early church, but that isn't true. I've never heard an SDA talking in tongues or prophesying or conveying a Word of Wisdom as given by the Spirit. Quote "You may not agree with everyone. But if you are an honest man, when someone says something you disagree with it’ll drive you to the Word. If you find out that you were wrong and change your thinking then you are the better for it. If you go to the Word and find out that you were right then you have been strengthened. But either way always go to the Word!!” Billye Brim

And I don't believe this is limited to just SDAs by the way. I think Christians as a whole are afraid of the HS and what he entails.
