Moderators Bravus Posted May 8, 2011 Moderators Posted May 8, 2011 I've talked a fair bit about my daughters' Mum, and there are plenty of photos of her at my home page, but this is my Mum: Her name was Jennifer Joy Geelan, nee Hardyment, and she was born in 1939, just at the beginning of the Second World War. She passed away from leukemia in 1990, just after seeing her first two grandchildren (my daughter and my sister's son). This photo is one of only a few I have of her - Dad still has most of them at his place. It's from my brother's wedding in 1989. She was a most excellent mother and has had a huge influence in me in all sorts of ways. She was only 51 when she died, which is not much older than I am now, and way too young. I really wish she could have been around to enjoy her grandchildren. Quote Truth is important

But its great to know that someday there will be a reunion. Two family motto's my mother lived by and tried to instill in my brothers and myself. "Stand Fast,Never Waver" "Get up in the morning, put a smile on your face, one foot in front of the other and you will get to the end of the day" Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
