Shoot, Saul/Paul did it and look at the organizations that came out of his invention called Christianity! Therefore so can anyone else because how does one test these types of people anyway? nuff sed Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I would like to read his book just to read what he thought that he saw..........I read one other by a pilot who died and said that he went to heaven.....It was almost believable because the people that he said he saw were people that we know are in heaven and they were not his dead relatives all glad to see him... I prefer to see/hear/read the actual person claiming whatever they are claiming before I decide if they are out to trick us all. And his father is a minister (unknown denomination) who wrote the book about his son's "experience." I saw the news report, too, and Woody was correct, the boy *did* say his sister was in heaven. The incident happened when the boy was much younger. This is interesting to me. It could be a case of "remembering" things that didn't happen, simply because the boy was so young and parents (and others) have a way of talking about things indiscreetly within hearing distance of a child. So, in the misty haze of anesthesia, it wouldn't be surprising if a child hallucinated about things he'd already heard, and does actually believe they happened. I would like to know if the father is donating the proceeds from the book to charity, or if the money is going into the family coffers. *That* would tell me a lot. The child stated that he saw certain ones of his relatives in heaven and that in some cases his parents appeared to object to the idea that such-and-such a relative would be saved. I don't think this is the usual thing that happens to young children of Christian parents who happen to have surgery or some other life crisis. I for example was in a coma at the age of 3 - I have nothing to report about seeing my dead relatives in heaven (and yet I was having some high quality time deep sleeping. Like Jesus wearing a while robe with a purple sash. Kindly face. Smile that lights up the heavens. Eyes of blue. Hummmmm If I met Jesus and sat on his lap, I hope I would come away with more than that. Second. What does it say to our belief of soul sleep? Either the child didn't really die and had wild dreams or he did die and we are wrong. OR, maybe there is a waiting period while the heavens decide where the soul is going. hehe The parents do alot of talking for their son. And I think they are filling in the gaps that come with a toddlers lack of cohearent speech. Plus you see more of the parents out front that their son. He doesn't appear to be taking on the roll of "prophet".
