Administrators Gail Posted May 24, 2011 Author Administrators Posted May 24, 2011 My kid came home with leeches, and they were LIVE. It was hard keeping my composure Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Parade Orange Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 LEECHES!!!!!!!!!!!!! aack! in my day we came home with frogs in our pockets my my how kids have changed Quote All progress in the Spiritual Life is knowing and Loving GOD"there is non upon earth that I desire besides YOU" PS 73:25That perspective changes EVERYTHING-suffering and adversity are the means that makes us hungry for GOD. Disapointments will wean us away wordly occupations. Even sin(when repented of) becomes a mechanism to push us closer to HIM as we experience His Love and Forgiveness.
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted May 25, 2011 Members Posted May 25, 2011 my brother and I caught tadpoles and put them in the fishbowl in our living room...one morning my mom got up and there were little frogs all over the place... Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Moderators LynnDel Posted May 25, 2011 Moderators Posted May 25, 2011 The parents in that video handled it so well. Very impressive! Pam, your story reminds me of when I was about four and caught a tadpole (always loved their wiggly slipperiness), brought it into the kitchen, Mom wasn't around to give me a jar, so I stuck the tadpole into the closest bowl. It was above my head, so I couldn't see that Mom was soaking gluten in it. I don't remember what she said when she found the tadpoles (I added more) swimming in her gluten water. LD Quote LD
Administrators Gail Posted May 25, 2011 Author Administrators Posted May 25, 2011 Hahaha!!! Pam and LynnDel, that's hilarious! I love tadpoles, too, even to this day Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
