Gordon1 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Are there any readers from the Omaha NE area? The Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant seems to be in grave danger from flooding. TV images are not too comforting, though the authorities are downplaying the risks. Since the water won't go away for months, there's not much they can say. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xj5zp8_omaha-nuclear-plant-flooding_news Quote
Administrators Gail Posted June 15, 2011 Administrators Posted June 15, 2011 Our Fraser River is high right now, and there is some local flooding. What I've noticed, though, is that on the other side of the dyke there are ALSO pockets of flooding from seepage. Having seen that here, I guess it might depend on what the plant is standing on; they might already be getting some water in there. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Members phkrause Posted June 17, 2011 Members Posted June 17, 2011 This world is cracking up. Yes the world is growing, or as EGW said, I believe, waxing old. Maybe someone else knows the whole quote. But things are not looking good are they. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Gordon1 Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 The world is waxing old as a garment. Already, this could be one of the country's worst nuclear accidents. News blackout reported: http://www.myweathertech.com/2011/06/17/...-nuclear-plant/ Quote
ClubV12 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 myweathertech.com, linked report posted by Gordon1. An interesting article, but I'm thinking it might be a bit over reaching in it's conclusions, but I keep reading. It just keeps getting better. Mutating rabbits? Check. Radioactive whales? Check. News blackout by Obama on the "real" problems at the plant? Check. Relentless Obama bashing on mulitple fronts? Check. By now I'm thinking, WHO is the guy who wrote this and WHO does he work for? This is a political spin report not a news report! But wait, there's MORE, it gets better! "...an already documented 35% increase in the infant mortality rate for American mothers living in the western coastal regions of the US caused by radiation blowing onto them from Japan." No wait a minute,,, I aint that stupid, this author is a raving lunatic! The article was good for a chuckle, I'll give you that. Quote
Gordon1 Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 Right V12, I didn't read that far down. Those last claims sound over the top. So again, are there any readers in the Omaha area? Is this nuclear plant surrrounded by water? Quote
