Moderators Kevin H Posted June 24, 2011 Moderators Posted June 24, 2011 Is this the movie that has been out for a few years or is it a new movie coming? Quote
cricket Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Kevin, I think it is the new movie they're working on. The page that the preview links to says they have partnered with Daniel Radcliffe for the starring role in this production. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I've only seen parts of the documentary you've mentioned, but a live-action motion picture will be neat to see (and share). Quote

Flyboy Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Really? Daniel Radcliffe, an English actor in an action movie about an American soldier awarded for actions in the Japanese Empire, made by an Australian film company? Well, no matter the recipe, I'll watch it! Surprisingly, when I was at my local knock-off DVD shop in China a few weeks ago I saw the Doss documentary from a few years ago. One of my fellow church members also saw it, and bought every copy they had. Something like one USD for each DVD. Quote
Moderators John317 Posted June 24, 2011 Moderators Posted June 24, 2011 Great to hear that the documentary about Doss is being seen in (or at least is available) in China! I will definitely watch the movie. Bet it's really good. Bet it's really good. Yes, except my Aussie church mate bought them all up and took them back Down Under. No, seriously, I was also surprised that they were selling this in China, although it is in English and I don't think it has Chinese subtitles, but anyway, it's a start! Quote
Members phkrause Posted June 25, 2011 Members Posted June 25, 2011 I did see the documentary a few years back, it was really good. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
laseradam Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I checked with someone I know and he told me that Daniel Radcliffe has NOT been signed for this movie. They are about to sign for a director. Unless we are talking about two seperate movies about Desmond Doss? Quote
Moderators John317 Posted August 17, 2011 Moderators Posted August 17, 2011 A warm welcome to the Forum, laseradam. Thanks for coming. WE appreciate your message about the film. It's probably the same movie we're talking about here. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
