In my last mailing I asked for your thoughts on the incident I had in the ER and the "trial" I went through. I would like to share with you some of the responses I received. One of them gives me an opportunity to introduce you to a new "daughter" of mine by the name of Hannah. Hannah is 28 years old and originally from Malaysia. She was trained as a teacher there and taught for 4 years before coming to the US to get some advanced training. She has been staying with us a few weeks and will be with us a few more weeks. We love her so much that we have decided to "adopt" her. I like balance in my life so now I have 3 girls and 3 boys. She has been a delight and a blessing and I trust the thoughts she shared with me will bless you as well. For those of you that know my children, you know that I have been blessed beyond measure and I am honored to have each of them call me "Dad".

My Dear Daddy,

Congratulation! You overcame that trial by the power from above plus your willingness to co-operate with Him. In our life, full of trials and temptations, God allows these things to happen to help us see we need Jesus in our life daily.

When I go through difficulties and challenges in my life, it is the time for me to fix my eyes upon Jesus and remember Phil 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice."

"When Jesus came into the world, Satan's power was turned against Him. From the time when He appeared as a babe in Bethlehem, the usurper worked to bring about His destruction. In every possible way he sought to prevent Jesus from developing a perfect childhood, a faultless manhood, a holy ministry, and an unblemished sacrifice. But he was defeated. He could not lead Jesus into sin. He could not discourage Him, or drive Him from a work He had come on earth to do. From the desert to Calvary, the storm of Satan's wrath beat upon Him, but the more mercilessly it fell, the more firmly did the Son of God cling to the hand of His Father, and press on in the bloodstained path. All the efforts of Satan to oppress and overcome Him only brought out in a purer light His spotless character." {DA 759.4}

In 1 Cor. 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]."

Praise the Lord for He knows how much we can bear and He already gave us power and strength to overcome the daily temptations and trials.

I would like to share a quote that my friend showed to me when I was in a difficult situation. It was a real encouragement to me. It is found in the book entitled, The Voice In Speech and Song.

"In the full light of day, and in hearing of the music of other voices, the caged bird will not sing the song that his master seeks to teach him. He learns a snatch of this, a trill of that, but never a separate and entire melody. But the master covers the cage, and places it where the bird will listen to the one song he is to sing. In the dark, he tries and tries again to sing that song until it is learned, and he breaks forth in perfect melody. Then the bird is brought forth, and ever after he can sing that song in the light. Thus God deals with His children. He has a song to teach us, and when we have learned it amid the shadows of affliction we can sing it ever afterward.--MH 472. {VSS 461.2}

PS: Daddy, I am proud of your "The Right Choice" ministry, I believe it is a blessing for those who read all the thoughts that God put in your mind everyday, because everyday we have choices to make.
