Can easily go either way. I'm just suprised that when building these things that this kind of problem is not looked into!!

Here is an unbelievable news clip of the high floodwaters surrounding the nuclear plant and high voltage transformers.

Who can look at Fukushima and call this American version "safe"?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL9GQaxXAhw&feature=youtu.be

I looked at the other follow-ups on other nuclear disasters or near disasters and wonder if these aren't precursors to this below;

"Then I heard a mighty voice from the Temple say to the seven angels, “Go your ways and pour out on the earth the seven bowls containing God’s wrath.”

So the first angel left the Temple and poured out his bowl on the earth, and horrible, malignant sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue"Revelation 16:1,2 NLT

Since the mark of the beast, the accepting of man's tradition over the direct commandment of God, has not occurred yet, the possibility would only be a precursor of the future event when it will be easily seen that radiation caused malignant sores prevail over the larger portion of human kind.

High time for deciding to yield to the Holy Spirit's almost irresistible drawing power for us to listen to His voice through the Word.

"For God says,“At just the right time, I heard you.On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation."

2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT

At the very least one can say it's a dire predicament which should be kept front & center on the mainstream radar.

Omaha's only 20 miles off, and well over half a million people.

Radiation causes permanent damage.

It's a small forecast of things to come, when the disaster cannot be stopped. Can you imagine the devastation when the seven last plagues begin to be poured out? Nuclear emergencies all over the world, among other things, with no hope of containment. Fires that cannot be stopped. Hundreds of millions facing immense suffering, doom and death by the scores.

I've heard it said from the beginning of the time of trouble to it's end could be a year or more. The ONLY people that will be assured food and water will be God's people. But before it comes to that, many will decide their only hope will be to follow the Government, for lack of food and water. Make no mistake, christians, God's people WILL go hungry as well, but not unto death. They WILL be sorely tried, and it will appear that all hope is lost. The Government will surely fail the people, the only hope will be in God, no matter how dire the situation looks. And it WILL look very dire indeed, as one calamity after another continues to fall.

Club V12, thanks for your balanced Adventist viewpoint.

Indeed, for the first time in modern history many facets of global order seem out of man's control, when "disaster cannot be stopped." Earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, nuclear meltdowns and fragile economics.

Glass half empty...eh?

If God be for us, who can be against us. I have no fear of the future.

I think we need to consider some kind of planning for the future, real, practical, down to earth planning. Like considering the need for a move to the country. For some of us that could become a very real need. At some point ALL of us will have to leave the cities and seek refuge. We could do nothing and presume the Lord will provide when the time comes. Or, we could consider the counsel and figure out what our part in preparation might be.

It goes without saying the most important part we have to play is a full and total surrender to Him in our everyday lives.

When the christians had to flee Jerusalem in AD 70 I think they already had at least a basic plan for that departure. Departure to where? With what? What route would they take? Food and water provisions? No doubt some were prepared better than others and shared what they had with those who had made no preparation of any kind. I pray and work in a way that I may be among those with something to share when that time comes...

For a balanced viewpoint of the situation..... Local news source

And we can surely trust the word of our public officials, especially that which is given out in the news media so those with less intelligence won't panic or start any rumors.

Especially after finding all those WMD in Iraq.

God blesses! And boy am I thankful!! peace
