Dr. Shane Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 One of the members in our church are taking the youth door to door. They knock on the door, introduce themselves as members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and ask if the person has any prayer requests we can take to the Lord. If so, he writes them down and asks if the person would like to pray with him. He leaves them some piece of literature as he leaves with the church address and website. You know, I don't know how many, if any, converts he will get from that process, but I am sure that it helps keep him and the youth that go with him in fit spiritual condition. Parade Orange Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 amen! Quote All progress in the Spiritual Life is knowing and Loving GOD"there is non upon earth that I desire besides YOU" PS 73:25That perspective changes EVERYTHING-suffering and adversity are the means that makes us hungry for GOD. Disapointments will wean us away wordly occupations. Even sin(when repented of) becomes a mechanism to push us closer to HIM as we experience His Love and Forgiveness.
ClubV12 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 We are the salt of the earth, the leaven to the community. Regardless of souls saved or leads for followup bible studies this is an excellent work! It will elevate the community, increase the peace and be a blessing to those doing the work. Anything beyond that is up to God, our work is to deliver the message and leave the results to Him. I'm really glad to hear this report Shane, thanks for sharing it. I might consider doing this myself, with someone I think we would be best. I was impressed how much time Paul spent in visting door to door, the sick, the needy, the poor, one on one, the neighborhood. Praise the Lord! Quote
