These printers have been around for a little while, and obviously they're getting better and better. It's still not 'replicating' in the sense that the printed wrench is not made of metal, so for example you couldn't (yet) print out a working electronic thing, but the capabilities are developing rapidly. As the cost comes down we'll see some truly cool things. Anyone deeply interested in this stuff might enjoy Cory Doctorow's novel 'Makers'. Quote Truth is important
