Truth Files Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 The human immortals of the Lord's army at Armageddon: The Lord will make way for the believing remnant part of Israel to escape the coming invasion of the beast and his armies at the middle of the 70th week decreed for the nation .... He will not be seen by earth dwellers when He creates the rift valley for the escape [Daniel 9: 26-27; Zechariah 14:4-5; Matthew 24:15-16; Revelation 12:6; 12:14]: Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself [33 A.D.]: and the people of the prince [the beast in the little horn] that shall come [at the middle of the future 70th week] shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 9:27 And he [the Lord] shall confirm the covenant with many [the believing remnant part of Israel] for one week: and in the midst of the week he [the beast in the little horn] shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate [the beast and his followers]. Zechariah 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives [at the middle of the 70th week decreed for Israel], which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 14:5 And ye shall flee [the believing mortal remnant of Israel – Matthew 24:15-16; Revelation 12:6; 14] to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. He will then appear visibly upon the earth with the pre-tribulation church [His army] at the end of the 70th week to destroy the beast and his followers and to establish His kingdom upon the earth: Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. 2:3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. 2:4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. 2:5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. 2:6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. 2:7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: 2:8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. 2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: 2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them Quote Stephen - Author - Truth Files
Dr. Rich Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Hey, check it out, the Battle of Armageddon never takes place. By the way, the battle those found in Rev. 12:17 are involved in is not one of bullets and bombs, but truth vs. lies. Quote

Lysimachus Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Like I said, more scatter-shot gun theology. That's what Truth Files is famous for. He shoots texts at you and expects everyone to read his mind in how we are supposed to interpret those texts. Quote ~Lysimachus (Marcos S.) Truth Files Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 Strange that one would call the congruent prophetic scriptures taken together "shot gun" theology Quote Stephen - Author - Truth Files
Moderators John317 Posted July 20, 2011 Moderators Posted July 20, 2011 It would help if you would give us some indication of what you see in the texts you give. How do those texts support your thesis? If possible, quote them. If you can't quote them, then give a hint as to what you want us to notice in those texts. Remember that people may read texts in different ways, that is, not everyone focusses on the same thought. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Truth Files Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 I will answer any reasonable question and give the insight and my opinion of any rendering of the prophetic scriptures If I detect that there is a wide divergence of foundational application to the subject at hand I will not continue the dialogue since I feel that there is no valid purpose served in the process What I will not do is engage in endless debating .... and those who feel the need to discredit will not get a response ... these things turn into a tit for tat banter that has nothing but a negative effect against the Lord's desire of a positive witness for those who look on Quote Stephen - Author - Truth Files
Dr. Rich Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 You check it out Doc [Ezekiel 39; Joel 3; Zechariah 14; Revelation 14:14-20; 16:1-16; 19:11-21] None of the verses you gave have anything to do with the battle of Armageddon, they all show that God interjects and the battle is never fought. Be careful with Ezekiel, Joel and Zechariah as many prophesies were time sensitive for plan A and plan A never happened so all of the prophesies for them will also never happen. Please don't get trapped into false belief or understanding like Tim LaHay did. Quote

It appears that Truth Files is essentially parading the banner that TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) has the "Message" for the world. That would make the majority of Christians right in their theology. What's God waiting for? Truth Files is right up there with the "popular religion" that the Christian world loves so much. skyblue888 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 http://www.amazingfacts.org/FreeStuff/On.../R/Default.aspx This is the first time I read something from amazing facts on this topic that I can say I fully agree with. Well done in explaining what the battle of Armageddon is and what the drying up of Euphrates is which will prepare the way for the kings of the east. I would only like to mention that the kings of the east are Christ and the redeemed who are coming with Him at His return. I also appreciate the fact that the article also shows the importance of trusting in the merits of the Saviour in order to be clothed with the wedding garment, the glorious apparel of Christ's righteousness which accomplishes everything as it is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God. I strongly encourage all to read this article or save it and read it more than once. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." S.C.36.
ClubV12 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I'll have to read that, sounds good like a good article. The Pastor insisted that I study the "Amazing Facts" study guides with a mentor early in my experience. They were OK, but it wasn't long before I was grew tired of the milk toast and was ready for some "meat". I think the study guides are mostly accurate, but I would rewrite various sections myself for better clairity. Other than those study guides, I don't know much about that organization. Quote
