I'm still bad at interacting here, I see, and think I need to express an apology. The other day I tried to join a discussion about whether a Purity Ball is a pure thing, by sharing some verses about how to be pure in God's eyes. I did several things wrong which I need to apologize for. First off, I should have posted them as a new topic. Second of all I should have explained more about what I meant to explain! And thirdly I think I came off as rottenly judgmental. Yuck! And I especially apologize to John 3:17. Didn't mean to be putting you down John3, I just accidentally landed in front of you by putting my acid little remark at the end of the line, but I didn't mean to be offensive, and I know I was being so.

Paul said quite a bit in Romans 1 and 2 about what the spirit of judgment toward others reveals about us. So if I sounded judgmental about that discussion, (and I did,) remember God isn't finished with me yet. I don't want to be judging, but do want to draw together in joy! I just think we spend too much time figuring out exactly what others should do in their walk instead of drawing near to God, and I have spent a lot of time on that. Oh I want to really be a part of God's band of encouraging shepherds! And God's not finished with me yet, I will be!

Well, more later, I hope, if y'all can stand me!

To place an apology online, for the whole world to see sounds like a pretty good way to advance toward the kingdom it seems to me, whatisthis. I'm one of those who makes it a practice to remind myself if Jesus were to let go of me for the times I stumble I would have no hope.

I didn't see your post to John so can't really comment on whether I might agree with your apology but it does seem to me to fit in with this,

"But I confess my sins;I am deeply sorry for what I have done."Psalm 38:18 NLT

"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."James 5:16 NLT

"He must increase, but I must decrease."

John 3:30 NASB

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”"Hebrews 13:5 NKJV

:like: None of us are any different. We each have our off days.

I think Stan will keep you around for quite a while yet. If he doesn't, we will all quit with you. hanging

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Not the way I read it, rudy.

" “When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near;

yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying, ‘We have sinned and done wrong, we have committed wickedness’; and when they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name:

then hear in heaven Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause..."1 Kings 8:46-49 NKJV parenthesis their's Bold mine LHC
