Generally the conflict revolves around the idea of who's right or who's wrong. Who gets the blame and who "wins". Instead we choose to concentrate on real solutions which lie in shifting the focus away from blaming each other, and rather moving to meeting each others needs better. It's similar to what you've mentioned. Quote
