ClubV12 Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 "Where do you place Stan in this equation? Do you think it might be more up to the Admin than to the moderators..." Seems pretty clear to me from the above statement where you stand, but I could be wrong. I DON'T think it should be more up to Stan, as you seem to suggest. It's a fairly simple issue, limiting the number of threads started by anyone person within a given time frame, on any subject, regardless of their theology. This aint complicated, it's a SPAM issue.... What IS SPAM? Well, thats a determination that moderator will make, no need to bring Stan into it unless there is "open rebellion" concerning his decision on the matter. Is there,,, open rebellion on this issue? Just wonderin' Quote
teresaq Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 It is Stan's board. Besides that Administration trumps mods. Perhaps you are not aware of that? "Where do you place Stan in this equation? teresaq Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 i may need to stress to you that my comment here was not meant as any kind of threat to you, personally. It was made based on my post from page 1 reposted here. This seems to getting out of control emotionally so I am going to take my leave for now, and hope things calm down enough to where posts can be read for what they say as opposed to one's emotional state. ... As I said before, be careful what you wish for. You might be the one considered a problem. Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
ClubV12 Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 Of course Moses also trumped the Elders. But Moses didn't need to be involved in every little squabble that came around. This is not about "censoring" or "theology" or even "free speech", it's a mole hill turned into a mountain! It's the fruit of tf, division and separation, just as the evil one designed. Quote

teresaq Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I don't remember ever hearing anyone understand that passage as you are using it. I don't know if you are a believer in Ellen White's writings, but here is both the text and SoP. I suppose Jesus was employing "Gestapo tactics" and employing "RCC Inquisition destruction" when he told Judas to leave after he dipped the bread in bitter herbs? Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790

ClubV12 Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 If he doesn't know that, it's clear he hasn't been reading much, or very little, of the tf threads. I don't know how a guy can make a call on this subject if he hasn't been reading those threads. Like some others, it's confusing a common sense SPAM issue with all kinds of "human rights", "theology", "censor" and "freedom of speech" issues. Not to mention calling into question the moderators action when they don't even understand the problem. Quote
teresaq Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Quite honestly, no I haven't other than a post here and a post there. Why would you think I had? ClubV12 Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 "Why would you think I had?" Why are you taking such a strong position of support for tf if you don't even know what or how often he's posted? If you DID know anything about his threads you would certainly know a lot about Lysimachus. Who has spent much time and energy attempting to deal with tf's theology, as have others. But thats like trying to nail jello to the wall. Quote
miz3 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 It's not about supporting Truth Files theology! It is about openness, freedom as opposed to only one view openness and only one view freedom! However, Stan can shape it anyway he wants it is his website! However, I took the opening Principle stated in the website header to be true, and I quote: "Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do. And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with – even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department. Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently." The question is, is it true? The other question is, Is ClubV12 willing to practice this Principle stated in the website header? ClubV12 Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 I have a secret weapon to get more reading done! I've got MP3 ready radio/cd players in all my vehicles, with copies of whatever current book I'm on. So no matter which car I happen to be in, I can pick up where I left off. I always take the long way to the market for that gallon of soy milk. PLUS, a recent addition: A mp3 player I strape to my arm, it's loaded with the current book I'm "reading". So I can move around the yard or the house and get my work done and still get in a chapter or two. So here's the delima, is it better to hear the word and get more of the word, or is it better to have less of the word but be able to underline and make notes? I do believe I like the audio presentation, I might stop the audio and write down a specific section or note about that chapter for more followup. When listening on the computer I have the text file to read while the audio plays. I can edit/copy/paste pertinent sections to various text files on the desktop. I've presented this audio concept to some folks at church and a few have picked up on it. At least it gets them "reading", when before they were not. In fact, the PASTOR recently asked me for an audio copy of Patriarchs and Prophets and Testimonies Vol 1. Which I delivered last Sabbath. He to has started listening in his car! Perfect for those long freeway trips in particular. I have almost the entire EGW library (and several bible versions) in mp3 files and matching text files. This is a great method most folks have over looked, there is real value here. OK, I'm not ready to take on "strangers" with bible verses and deliver a solid biblical presentation for a reason for my faith,,, yet,,, but I'm working on it. Starting to memorize the various bible verses required. The foundation is coming together nicely, praise the Lord for that. Quote
Lysimachus Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Also, for those of you looking for a great resources to vindicate Historicism, I recommend the following website: http://www.historicism.org The website is owned by Frank W.
