Miles Garber, 2-year old son of my cousin Glen Garber, drowned in a pond. They found him 15-minutes later and hastily called 911 as they worked to save him. They got him to breathe again and he was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, unconscious. After 5-days in the hospital little Miles is completely recovered with the exception of a spot of mud on the lungs, which they hope will work itself out.

Many prayers, including our own went up in support of this family. I am so grateful for this recovery. As many of you know I come from a long line of Anabaptists, and one thing we like to do is sing (we have made a couple CD's). Here is one of the songs we occasionally sing set to a video of my cousin Glen and his wife in the hospital. The song is written by a Mennonite acquaintance John Esh.

I thought this might help take our minds off of life's distractions and remind us that what really matters in life is our faith and our family.

Thank you, olger for the posting and the song. My hearing not being that good I couldn't hear all the words but what I did hear brought tears to my eyes.

While maybe this is somewhat late, we are praying for full restoration and claiming this promise.

"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”"Matthew 21:21-23 NKJV

That was beautiful!! And I hope your little cousin has a speedy recovery.

I wonder how many of us are on lifesupport systems now and are completely oblivious to our "Daddy's" compassionate hovering, in hope and expectation for signs of life.

"Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else."Ephesians 2:1-3 NLT

"...even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)"

Ephesians 2:5 NLT parenthesis their's LHC
