Why I'm ticking 'No religion' on the census

There's a difference between disagreement and name-calling, slander, misrepresentation, and plain lack of decency and respect.

I don't really dive into political discussions because they tend to bring out the worst in me. For that reason I've stopped discussing politics all-together, for the most part. I am a huge Ron Paul supporter, but I would not vote in any election, neither I would participate in any polls or political events, until I see that there's any chance of fixing this fundamentally dysfunctional political and economic system.

Me casting my vote, or ticking one of the boxes essentially says "I believe that it really matter", and it does not IMO. There's a lot of Republicans who are screaming Obama this and Obama that, but things would not be much different if it was McCain or Ron Paul. We still would be going through a crisis. We still would be going through a financial crises. We still would have two wars on our hands. We still would have an unaffordable health-care and terrible job market.

You can't praise or blame 1 person for achievements or mistakes of millions. President does not decide the fate of this country. Perhaps he will, if you think that he should.

I like what you've said here... That's about where I sit, too. The last time I voted was in a referendum for Sunday shopping.
