teresaq Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 If we regurgitate something have we assimilated it? If we have assimilated it can we regurgitate it? Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
cardw Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I think of assimilation as allowing something to become part of you. If I regurgitate something then it ceases to be a part of me. To regurgitate something I would think you would have to separate yourself from it first. Quote Rich http://tiny.cc/CM2j8
teresaq Posted August 20, 2011 Author Posted August 20, 2011 Interesting thought. If principles have been understood and assimilated then we become the "embodiment" of them, just naturally live them out in our lives. If we don't understand the underlying principles and assimilate them then we can only regurgitate what we hear/read? Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
cardw Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I think that happens a lot. We can skillfully mime a way of being, but as soon as we hit the end of the script we get stuck. When something is a part of me there is no thinking, just being. Quote Rich http://tiny.cc/CM2j8
