ClubV12 Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I ride a motorcycle and a regular tie is a bit of a hassle so I thought I'd switch to a bow tie. Anyone else wearing one? :) Quote
Outta Here Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Google, "Bow ties are cool!" and you'll find that there is a whole faction of persons wearing them! Also, fezzes and stetsons are now cool. Quote
ClubV12 Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 Uh,,, OK, I think I'll pass on the Stetson, unless they are DOT rated for a motorcycle helmet. HA HA I have no idea what fezzes are, gotta Google that one. ...back from doing the Google. OK, well, bow ties ARE "cool". And fezzes look like they COULD be DOT approved head wear (which is weird). Thanks for the tip! Quote

Liz Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I like bow ties. For me it makes the man appear to be more approachable and friendly than a man wearing a standard long tie. But that is just me. Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted August 27, 2011 Administrators Posted August 27, 2011 As for me, no tie at all is best! And for riding, no collar or a button down collar... A flapping collar at 60+mph can get more than a little annoying! Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." Parade Orange Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 your wife is so pretty shane and i wore a bow tie to a christian retreat once and they thought it meant i was being very sinful and asking for extra attention Quote All progress in the Spiritual Life is knowing and Loving GOD"there is non upon earth that I desire besides YOU" PS 73:25That perspective changes EVERYTHING-suffering and adversity are the means that makes us hungry for GOD. Disapointments will wean us away wordly occupations. Even sin(when repented of) becomes a mechanism to push us closer to HIM as we experience His Love and Forgiveness.

Moderators John317 Posted August 27, 2011 Moderators Posted August 27, 2011 That's very strange. Did anyone tell you why they thought you were being sinful just because you wore a bow-tie? I can't imagine why anyone would think such a thing. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
