Ever read something a hundred times and miss what was staring you in the face all along? Don't know how many times I've read verse 14 and just missed verse 15. Interesting. So, what are curds, and what is honey--and is this saying that there was a time that even Jesus did not know the difference between right and wrong??!?

This prophecy had two applications, the first of which was to the child of the prophet Isaiah. Of course, the second, and fullest, application is to Jesus Christ. The age of three is about the time that moral consciousness begins. So this is saying that by the time the child is about 3 years old-- when he would be eating the first foods given to young children-- the land will be desolate and God will have judged the people.

The Hebrew word here translated "virgin" may also be translated as "young woman." However, the Greek word in the Septuagint and in the New Testament clearly means "virgin."

Jesus did not know right from wrong when he was younger than three years old? Is it accurate to say that?

I'm not sure I'd put it that way. I'd say that maybe before that age he had no idea of right from wrong? Not sure that I'm really saying it any different than the way you put it.

Not sure about that, I'll have to check with my Jewish relatives. But I would say that by the time your 12 you have a fairly good idea of right from wrong. If I'm not mistaken EGW mentions something about being 7 or 9? But am not sure.

I believe Mrs. White mentions the age of 12 in the Desire of Ages.

Here's something I found in Child Guidance: Early Childhood Is the Most Important Period—Too much importance cannot be placed on the early training of children. The lessons that the child learns during the first seven years of life have more to do with forming his character than all that it learns in future years.1 {CG 193.1} Here she mentions what I was thinking about, the seven years. I was thinking accountability but it was character instead. But I'm still looking, because I know somewhere she talks about the age of accountability. Its probably in a different book though.
