Ellen Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 On Sabbath the pastor was talking about the affluence we have. He asked his daughter how many shoes she needs. Which she replied that she never had enough. So he made this quotation which I liked, I thought it was worth repeating: "We never have enough of what we don't need." Quote
Ellen Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 Two more: on living healthy: Faulty genetics loads the genes, LIFESTYLE pulls the trigger. Mark Twain: Before assaults of laughter Nothing can stand. Proverb: Be Humble or you will Stumble. (That's my contribution) Quote
Ellen Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 I guess I can't count. That was 3 more and I just came across two more: Steven Covey: "The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing." William Blake:; "What is now proved was once only imagined." Quote

Administrators Gail Posted September 20, 2011 Administrators Posted September 20, 2011 Anyone ever read Blake? I think he was also an artist, wasn't he? Stumbling is no fun!! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

So he made this quotation which I liked, I thought it was worth repeating: "We never have enough of what we don't need." , I've been thinking lately about how much we spend for things we don't need, compared to how much we give for the spreading of the gospel. Being rich in this world's goods causes most people to have little real concern for spiritual things. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Amazing pictures. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
