The gas prices, while high for our tastes, have customarily been lower than they are in Europe. Ever wonder why they drive those little bitty cars over there, and take trains and ride bikes?

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Yeah...I'm proud of my tiny little Toyota...it costs $40 to fill now instead of $35 a few months ago, but that's manageable...

I would gladly ride a bike or take public transport, but I have to travel about 20 miles to work every day through the hills and those two options just don't exist.

My wife said she wanted me to take her out to someplace expensive. So.... I took her to the gas station. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Funny, I have never heard nor read of any gas theft from cars due to the high prices.

Back in the mid-late 70s with the first gas shortage and odd-even rationing it was fairly common to hear of people who would spike a car's gas tank from underneath, take what they had containers for and let the rest run out.

It was especially bad if you were hiking in the wilderness and came back to no gas. frown.gif
