All of those are crazy except the solar flashlight. I'd buy one of those -- charge in daylight, work at night. Never a dead flashlight. Yeah, I need one of those. Will check online...

I have a couple of black light bulbs. They are very useful for finding puppy spots on carpet.

There are "no battery" flashlights that you shake to charge up. One Christmas I gave away one to everyone!

If you look very closely at some of the "shake-up" flashlights that you generally find in the flea markets you will see that there is a 2032 battery in them that is , probably, there for backup. Nuff Sed

My no battery flashlight sure needs a lot of shaking. There can't be a battery of any kind in it.

I would like to have a no battery radio - you wind it by hand.

But there is a battery inside. That is what is charged when you shake it, or put it in the sun, or wind it up. Only that is not a battery which can be changed, or a disposable battery.
