I was just thinking, What if? What if Adam had not blamed Eve? What if Eve had not blamed the serpent? What if they both had not blamed their mistake on what God had given them or created? What if they had not acted as if it was God's fault? What if they had both immediately take responsibility for their own actions? What if they had immediately acknowledged they had erred? What if they had then and there asked God to forgive them?

"I love God only as much as the person I love the least."

What If?

What would you think if you woke up one day and found you were in a world where no one ever lied, where there were no murders, no stealing, no more STD’s, a world with no selfishness and greed, no crime, no drugs, no violence, no war. It would be a world where everyone was treated with kindness, patience and respect, a world without guns and armies and very few police. Instead of accumulating money and things, you would accumulate deep and lasting friendships. Instead of jealousy and anger there would be fairness, trust, and peace.

This could be our world if everyone followed the Ten Commandments found in the Bible in Exodus chapter 19. That’s one of the reasons they were given to us, to make this a better world to live in while it lasts. Those who violate them bring only unhappiness on themselves and others.

Ahhh, but you don't understand. If s/he hadn't provoked me I wouldn't have done that. You just don't get it. Its not really my fault. Its his/hers. :(

Really where I was going with this is contemplating what God's response would have been at that moment. Would the consequences of their actions been different? Would the curse been different? What impact would this have had on the unfolding of any plan of salvation?

Oh. Could they have acted differently? I know we all have a choice, so we are told anyway, but can some reactions be automatic or is that only after practice?

I guess it seems to me that Eve, in giving in to Satan's suggestions, took on his mind, his reasoning...

Put another way, if they had accepted responsibility I don't think "sin", or not trusting God, would have been so bad....

How would it have affected Cain? Sin took a firm hold right away.

However, when you think about it, God needed a world to try out sin to show the universe Satan's evilness and give Him the opportunity to destroy it forever and Eve and Adam fulfilled that necessity. Why did it have to be our planet?
