bonnie Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 A game changer???? Why????? I thought everyone figure the Presidency was all but won!!!!!!!!!! I guess not! Wait, remember the civil crowd says he is to fat to be president. They have not even begun to chew him to pieces. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Wasn't perry the gamechanger? I guess Christie will be the game changer until he talks about Islam or immigration. This is fun to watch. Dr. Shane Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I will say that I like the fact that Herman Cain has come from good family and worked his way up against all the racial prejudices out there. That is quite a contrast to Obama who came from a broken family and was raised by his wealthy grandparents. Obama seems to be holding his own marriage together and that is commendable but it is quite interesting to contrast the two. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators John317 Posted October 4, 2011 Moderators Posted October 4, 2011 Excellent portrait. I hope the day comes when his picture is in places like the VA hospital. He's a good man and I believe he would make a very good president if given the chance. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Moderators John317 Posted October 4, 2011 Moderators Posted October 4, 2011 Just wondering if you're pleased with President Obama. Has he turned out to be the kind of president you expected? Did you expect him to be as tough as he's been in the war against the terrorists? Did you expect him to be as tough as he's been in the war against the terrorists? I certainly don't think he's been bold enough in reforming Wall street, dealing with republicans and not going for single payer health care. I think he failed to recognize the scale of the country's economic troubles. He hasn't been bold enough in calling out the corruption and weakness in the banking system. His policies essentially saved the US from a depression even though I think were going to get there anyway. I think Obama took the less courageous route by continuing the "war on terror" . He has not been tough. He, like other Presidents in the past has fallen prey to the military industieal complex. He be honest about the reasons why the US is in the Middle East. He's continuing lead theLamb like Beast down the same path of exploitation and double standards. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. I agree with you Lazarus, but I see it more that he has conseded way to much to show he's willing to meet the republicans halfway and they have just turned there noses up at him. Obama had the white house, congress and senate till Nov of 2010 He told them to sit down and shut up, He won. He has never tried to meet the republicans half way.He didn't have to.Republicans still only have one out of three. Notice senate democrats want little to do with his so-called jobs bill Will there ever come a day when Obama takes responsibility for his actions and decisions Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Obama had the white house, congress and senate till Nov of 2010.He told them to sit down and shut up, He won. This is an important point. Obama had super majorities in the House and Senate. He had a blank check. He could do anything he wanted to. He had an in-your-face attitude with Republicans. Does anyone remember the in-your-face, giant gavel that Pelosi brought to the House to pass healthcare reform? The American people voted the Republicans into power in 2010 to stop Obama. Now Obama whines that he can't get anything done. If he were to listen to the American people and change his agenda - like Clinton did after 1994 - he could have a successful presidency. But Obama is digging in deeper. He is not a leader. He couldn't even lead his own party to pass single-payer healthcare reform. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
