It is amazing, they keep saying on almost every station, news report and you'd think Obama should just not bother, but yet they keep sending more out there because???? Not sure but the republicans still don't think they can win????????? Why???? Every poll shows them ahead and yet they think they need someone else!!!!!! Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators lazarus Posted October 4, 2011 Moderators Posted October 4, 2011 I think so many are thinking of getting in becasue they think the chances of a GOPer winning are so high. Obama's numbers are in such bad shape. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Dr. Shane Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 The moderate wing of the party is afraid that too radical of a conservative will get the nomination. The moderates realize that the election is theirs to lose. They want to make sure they don't do that. The Tea Party is very powerful just like the anti-war movement was in 2004. The anti-war movement in 2004 was a bunch of extremists and gave us Kerry - which cost the Democrats the election. Bush was very beatable but the American public did not want an extremist like Kerry. Poll after poll shows over 50% disapproval rating for Obama. No one is forecasting a brighter economic picture before the election. I think the moderate Republicans know the only way they lose in November is by nominating an extremist. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... I think the moderate Republicans know the only way they lose in November is by nominating an extremist. Personally I disagree that Bush was beatable, I disagree that Kerry was an extremist. To me an extremist is someone like Goldwater. Anyway that's my opinion, and that's why they play the game (have the election). Just because someone says oh that person is beatable doesn't make it so. Both Bush and Clinton in recent history proved that point. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

bonnie Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Harry Reid is the Senate majority leader thanks to the Tea Party. If the Tea Party has their way, Obama will be re-elected. So says arm chair quarterback. Obama may be re-elected but it will be by creating more dependents. Harry Reid was senator from Nevada before the existence of the tea party.
