Why Jesus Died For All?

I understand your question, Brother Richard, but the directive not to pray for him came from God. So it isn't like a pastor telling you not to pray for someone. God knows all. He knows the end from the beginning. So when God tells someone not to waste their time praying for another, I suspect God knows that prayer would do no good.

So if this is true, why didn't Jesus die only for the ones who would be saved, rather than sacrficing Himself for everyone? It would seem to be a waste of Jesus' life to die for everyone.

Ok, if someone does not accept Jesus' sacrifice than were their sins included in His sacrifice? Or was His sacrifice only for those that accept it?

Obviously those that do not let Jesus take their punishment will themselves be taking that punishment and thier sins will also be placed on the scape goat.

TWISI: (The way I see it) Therefore God in His wisdom ensured that the most pessimistic mind might be able to find the answer to his highest potential, upon choosing to believe the promises offered. If one were led to believe his sins were not counted among those Jesus' sacrificed for, hope would be vanquished before faith could have a chance for development

You must remember that Christ didn't die instead of us, rather we (humanity) died "in Him":

• "Deity did not die. Humanity died" [5BC 1113]

Those who reject this truth will not receive their glorified life at the 2nd coming.

I think the principles on this subject is found in the following verses:

Matt 5:44-45: But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.(NIV)

Luke 6:27-29: "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. (NIV)

Luke 6:35: But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. (NIV)

Rom 5:10: For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! (NIV)

First, we were God's enemies. Christ's death reconciles us to God while we were still enemies.

Christ says directly for us to pray for those who persecute us. To love our enemies. We are to pray for those who mistreat us. We are to lend to enemies and do good to them.

This seems to me that anyone's request not to be prayed for is overridden by Christ's instruction to us.
