Stan Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 “God did not call us to a ministry of alienation. God did not call you and me to push away on one another. We are not to be called to alienate, to develop a class or gender, division or racial segregation, or “tofu separation” or “vegan distinction” or theological discrepancy - because you do not believe like I do [or] because you are not a part of my part of the community you are certainly on your road to perdition. Read and listen to the word of God ... You and I were called to a ministry of reconciliation not just with the world, but with one another.” – said Pastor Dan Jackson, NAD president, at the main worship service on October 29 at the 2011 NAD Year-end Meeting. olger Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I like the thoughts on reconciliation. That is needed in the church. I also wonder if he was referring to women's ordination with the gender remarks. Don't know, but I do know that the WO issue has become a strange sacred cow to many American SDA's. What is your take on that? rejoice always, g Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Dottie Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I read that quote this evening on facebook, and as always, liked the way Pastor Dan Jackson talks. Quote

What is your take on that? rejoice always, g Elder Jackson's comments are to vague! If he meant woman's ordination or even commissioned, he was completely unBiblical and his statements should be rejected wholesale. But, I don't know what Elder Jackson actually meant, I figured you were truly more interested in what the Forum thought and believed. Quote Luke 12:32 NKJV
Overaged Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Reconciliation with the world, and with one another. Sounds great. Wonder which would be easier - with the world, or with one another?
