Gus Foster Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 In Dr Ron Clouzet's Net 11 presentation on "The Hope Channel" this month he made a couple of bold statements that stimulated my senses. #1 That Jesus has not allowed the end time scenario to materialize because His people have not prepared themselves for the closing events. #2 That those new Christians who have attended the nightly meetings for the whole month are closer to Jesus than the old ones that did not listen in because the new ones have given up the world to be with Jesus while the old ones have compromised Christ to play in the world. What is the church leaders responsibility? teach gospel teach living the gospel stewardship responsibility (ie plant maintenance) economic balance - expenses, missions, schools teach Christian fellowship Good Samaritan maintenance - filling individual needs Teaching & Understanding -doctrines, prophecy, end-time scenes Define difference --in Christ/World Titus 2:11-3:9 1Peter 1:13-15, 22, 23 CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBILITY Am I a dedicated Christian in all my walk? think, act, talk-listen, eat, dress study Word, share Word prayer life temperance personality -- love, attitude, charity Ps. 119:1,2 Am I a blessing? to whom? to what? Do I take all Scripture personally? Am I looking for --opportunities to witness/ end-time teachings and warnings? longing to be with Jesus? more than any worldly thing? giving up worldly things and activities?
